Any note on piano is the same as it will be on guitar. To play a note on guitar, take the piano note and find what it would be on guitar using the following method:

Find the guitar string that is closest to the note you want to play, but lower.

Count the semitones up to the note you want to play, remembering that each fret equals one semitone

For example, to play middle C, you would play the third fret of the A string, as middle C is three semitones above that A.

Theyre actually the same notes. If you mean where on the neck, or on the keys, then thats different. Lets say you're playing an E on the piano. That would be the white key on the right of the two black keys. That would be the first fret on the 6th string (the thickest string) From there, you can pretty much match the sounds.

If you're struggling, a method I use which helps is:

• Take some paper.
• Write down the notes of the chord (C major for example would be C, E, G)
• Find these notes on the piano
• Voila!

I can't tell if you're asking this question from the perspective of a piano player or a guitar player. Neither of the instruments you've mentioned are pitch-class transposing instruments. So the chords are the same for both instruments. You can actually follow the same chart on both the piano and the guitar if you know how to play the chords on both instruments.

It depends on what you mean, but here are the basics: If it is a standard guitar with no capo, the chords are the same, no transposition required. IE: A "C" triad is always C, E, and G.

There are some chords you can't play exactly the same way on the guitar because of finger placement, but the tones in the chord are the same.

If you must do it manually (rather than using a composing software) you find the number of half steps it is from the original key signature to the new key signature. You then move each note in the chord that number of half steps (down or up, depending on what you are doing) in order to find the new notes for the chord.

It takes a lot of time to do that to an entire song, but I don't know of any other way!

The use of a capo is probably best. If you can't afford a capo, another way is to do a DIY capo but if you don't want to break your strings, probably retuning the strings itself would work.
