The procedure is detailed in your owner's manual
When the low tire pressure light comes on it means pressures need to be checked and adjusted. For the '07 and later don't forget to check the spare as it has a pressure sensor inside too and can trigger the light. Caution: Don't just reset the light without checking pressures. You could have a damaged tire.
Once you've made sure tires are aired up properly, look for the reset button. You'll find it to the left of the steering wheel post (on the lower dash) there's a reset button. With the key on (engine doesn't have to be running) press and hold that button. Watch the low pressure light. It will go off then flash several times. Hold the button until the flashing stops (premature release will just cause the light to come back on soon after you begin driving).
Cheers
Correct the tire pressure.
Inflate the tire to the correct pressure and then drive the vehicle
Your vehicle is equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that monitors the tire pressure of all tires except the spare. The low tire pressure warning light warns of low tire pressure or indicates that the TPMS is not functioning properly. After the ignition switch is turned ON, this light illuminates for about 1 second and turns off. Low tire pressure warning: If the vehicle is being driven with low tire pressure, the warning light will illuminate. When the low tire pressure warning light illuminates, you should stop and adjust the tire pressure to the recommended COLD tire pressure shown on the Tire and Loading Information label. The low tire pressure warning light does not automatically turn off when the tire pressure is adjusted. After the tire is inflated to the recommended pressure, the vehicle must be driven over 16 MPH (25 km/h) to activate the TPMS and turn off the low tire pressure warning light. Use a tire pressure gauge to adjust tire pressure to the recommended pressure. TPMS malfunction: If the TPMS is not functioning properly, the low tire pressure warning light will flash for approximately 1 minute when the ignition switch is turned ON. The light will remain on after the 1 minute.
It should turn off automatically after you put in the correct tire pressure. I just did this the other day.
I have a 2004 Impala SS. I currently have a aftermarket deck, the only other way to turn off the low tire pressure light is either 1) bringing it into the dealer, or 2) turn your key to the accessories position, turn your lights on and off three to five times, and it should have shut off your low tire pressure light.
! If you want to turn it off turn the radio off and hold the DISP button for 10 seconds, this activates the setup menu. Scroll through until you see Tire Pressure and reset it. The car does not come with an active tire pressure management system, when it detects low pressure you will HAVE to reset the light.
Have you checked the spare tire yet? I hear that if the spare is too low the light will stay on.
how do you reset the low tire pressure warning light on a 2009 camry
the horseshoe shaped light is your low tire pressure warning light. check your tire pressure in all of your tires. the light will turn off once the tires are at the proper PSI.
The only way to reset the low tire pressure warning light is to remove or replace the low tire pressure sensor. When the sensor is not working properly the light will remain on.
Tire pressure monitoring system light on means low tire pressure.
fill tires with proper air pressure, if the light remains on after a short drive you probably have a failed tire pressure sensor. Replacement of sensor necessary.
