Pull out on the headlight switch knob after rotating one notch clockwise.
Mine is Manually
Most dash lights have a setting knob to turn the dash lights on and off and to dim them, maybe this switch is off.
pull the light switch outward with clearance light or headlights on!
all of the other lights come on but when I turn switch all away to start wont do it
The headlight switch is to the left of the steering wheel. Up till 1998 you pull the knob, after you rotate the knob to turn the lights on.
I corrected the problem on my 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 by replacing the upper and lower ball joints.
you cann't just turn it off, it's telling you you have a lamp out. check the lamps to see where it's at. Do you have the HID aftermarket lights?
You need a 36 mm wrench and a spanner to hold the pulley. Turn counter clockwise to loosen.
The remote amp turn on a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 is the wire that taps on the harness to supply the 12v.
If it is an after market stereo, sound as if someone spliced the stereo power source wire (Hot Wire) into the wire going to the headlight switch.
i had same problem with my 99. turned out to be a cracked distributor cap. no problems since. hope this helps
Should be the turn signal stalk. Could be either pull it toward you to cycle on and off, or push it away from you to turn on brights and toward you for low beams.
