You buy a different engine. A V8 (8 cylinders instead of 6)! Buy a new v8 engine from a parts supplier. You can buy a LS series engine, a small-block, or a big-block from many suppliers. You may also need to pay to have it installed if you can't do it yourself.

the transmission used in the v6 is the same as the transsmission in the V8 and they can be swapped either way. as in you can match the v8 with a v6 tranny or a v6 with a v8 tranny the bellhousing lines up the same
