you must complete the master hunter challenge of killing two cougars with your knife...tip: shoot the cougars twice in the legs and they will stop attacking you and run away..chase em down and knife em and the buffalo rifle will be available at the gunsmith

if you have a playstation you can go to the PlayStation Store and obviously write : Red Dead Redemption and then it should show the game packs and the actual game (including undead nightmare).
