A 2002 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 liter has a total of 1 oxygen sensor located in the exhaust manifold. It constantly monitors oxygen levels in the exhaust to allow the computer to make mixture adjustments.
Very simple. Unplug the wire to the sensor, unscrew/remove the sensor, install new sensor and plug it in. You're done. Have fun.
Where is radiator temperature sensor located on a 1997 2.4L Chevy cavalier
The upstream O2 sensor is mounted in the ehxaust manifold The downstream O2 sensor is mounted in the exhaust pipe after the catalytic converter
A B1S1 O2 sensor would be threaded into the exhaust system between the catalytic converter and the engine.
The front o2 sensor is just to the left of the battery. It's a little tube with a wire that is plugged in right before the exhaust pipe.
