You have a number of choices
1 break the teapot
2 break the lid
3 break em both
4 have coffee instead
5 ask a stupid question on Wikianswers someone with nothing better to do would probably give you their way to sperate the 2.
The question is vague. I would gently heat it up on the stove. The air inside will expand, helping to release any vaccuum, and the heat should also soften any goo holding the lid on.
If the pan contains food, heating it a little may release the lid. Don't try this if it's an empty pan, though!
