Yahoo Answers is not a subscription service, so you can't unsubscribe.
Only the Yahoo Answers team can DELETE a Yahoo Answers account. Closing the Yahoo email ID will eventually deactivate the linked Yahoo Answers account, but also closes everything attached to that email account. After 4 months, the Yahoo Answers profile WILL disappear and show a message stating the account has been closed. But ALL the questions and answers from that profile are still visible & searchable on the Yahoo Answers site. All IN VOTING or RESOLVED Q&A remain the property of Yahoo. The safest thing to do if a person wants to leave the Yahoo Answers site is:
Click their avatar,
♦ Delete open questions and answers to open questions.
Then click the 'edit my preferences' link. There:
♦ Blank out the avatar, nickname and 'About Me'.
♦ Close links to Yahoo Profile, IM and/or email.
♦ Disallow fans. Remove contacts.
♦ Set Network and Q&A to private.
The term "unsubscribe" can be a bit confusing, It can mean unsubscribing from the site and having your account closed or unsubscribing from receiving emails from your Watchlist.
To Close Your Account:
To close your account, use the email that you used to join the site to send an email to support @ answers.com (no spaces) and state that you would like your account closed.
To Stop Receiving Emails From Your Watchlist:
Go to "my settings" under "my pages" at the left of the screen or the wrench in the top right of the screen. Scroll down to see email updates where you'd uncheck any box you don't want emails from. Then scroll to the bottom of the page to press "Save Settings".
Your question was sent from an IP address, not a user name. Apparently you are not registered. So all you have to do if you don't want to be on the site is not come to it.
when you get emails from it, there will be a link at the bottom of your email that will unsubscribe you.
