Go to your Check-in post or picture posted with the 'check-in.' Click on 'Tag Friends' or 'Tag Additional friends', usually under picture. Click on it. A box will appear with all of your friends. Find the friend that you want to remove and remove the X at their name, then click on 'Submit'. The persons name will now be removed.
