How do you upgrade your gun in black op zombies?

you first need to get enough of points to upgrade your gun. It cost 5000 points to get your gun upgraded, to me I try and upgrade my gun as early as I can so I dont have alot of trouble later on. The best guns to be upgraded would be the Ray gun, Thunder gun, Hk21, or the RPK.

Which map are you talking about?

On Nacht der Untoten, Zombie Verruckt and Shi No Numa, the only way to get decent guns is either in the random weapons chest, or by purchasing weapons on the walls.

However, on Der Riese, (the newest one) as well as these methods, you can upgrade purchased guns at the Pack-a-Punch machine in the centre of the map for 5000 points. To activite this, you need to turn on the electricity at the main frame and the other 3 teleporters.

you upgrade the gun and then you have "upgraded ammo." it's simply ammo for the upgraded gun, you can't buy it separate. you just have it after you upgrade the gun

Once you pack-a-punch a weapon and you've run out of ammo. You can buy more ammo from there for usually 4500.
