The OBDII connector is on the drivers side or midline of the truck near where the steering column meets the dash. You plug it in, turn the scanner on, then wait for it to communicate with the truck. If you need help with the codes visit our enthusiasts forum!

You can use either 5W30 or 10W30...doesn't matter
1st repair the problem 2nd Use the scanner to clear the codes set in the computer system
