How do you use the slingshot in Zelda twilight princess?

Buy it for 40 rupees at the fat lady's shop after you get her cat back
Look around your village for money. When you get 20 or 30 rupees buy the sling shot from the shot. To buy it, get the horn plant and use it to call a hawk. Use the hawk to get a cradle from a monkey.
