Percentages normally refer to two quantities: one amount as a percentage of the other.
For example, 10 minutes
is 50% of 20 minutes,
it is 100% of 10 minutes,
and 200% of 5 minutes.
So 10 minutes represents different percentages of different amounts.
There are 1440 minutes in a day. 90/1440 = 0.0625 = 6.25%
Most people work with percentages in one way or another.
work out the math
You can't
Because that it s harder to work out percentages than fractions and decimals
They are smart and know everything
When working with percentages, it is best not to round during the actual work. Only when you have your final answer do you round to the nearest hundredth. e.g. 96.54
27/50 = 54/100
4.1/22.20 = 18.5% approx.
No, I do not.
Double it - to give 90 out of 100 - or 90%
Percentages are always use when comparing one number to another. With you only providing one number Percentages doesn't work very well.
