Here is the way to write 0.25 billion: 250,000,000

you need to do a small conversion like 1 billion, how much is it worth in millions ?

1,000,000,000 = ?" in millions?

the difference between billion and million is the number of numerical characters.... we write 1 billion with 10 numerical characters and... 1 million is only 7 numerical characters. so in this case a quarter billion will be 250,000,000 (250 millions).

Why is it like that ? this is because to reach billion, you need to have at least 10 numbers in total.

here is the example

0.25 000 000 000 ( 12 numbers in total). As soon as you hear billions, it means you have to have at least 3 blocks of 3 numbers. (1,000,000,000)

Now 0.25 billions comes with a coma that makes it a little difficult to read. to make things simple, you just have to move your the dot till you find it easier to read. And each time you move the dot to the right hand side, you delete one zero. here, we will move the dot 2 numbers further, and then delete 2 zeros.

When we do that, we now come up with this: (7 zeros on the right hand side, and 1 on the left..)

025,000,000,0

the one on the left is useless, so we delete it. the remaining number will be organized by counting 3 zeros from the right hand side each time before putting a coma.

0250, 000, 000...So it becomes 250 millions. Most of the time, a conversion tool like the one called yen to pounds will help you do that very easily
