Write sentences the way you speak - just pretend you are telling this to a friend, and write down what you would say. What would you tell them about this topic? How would you explain reflection to your friend? What does reflection mean to you?

If you are writing a reflection on a personal experience, it is probably not a formal piece of writing. You should include how you felt at each step during the experience, and how you feel about it now that it is over. You can also include anything you would do differently, now that you know what happened, and perhaps have more knowledge about the situation than you did at the time.

When I write reflections based on my classroom lessons, I talk about what I considered while writing the lesson plan, how I imagined the lesson would go, how it actually went, and what I would do differently next time with the same group of students or with a completely different group of students. I always try to include something I've learned from the experience or how it has added to my personal philosophy of teaching.
