I have mine dialed in at 200 yrds. Max point blank range on the 300 mag is 300 yrds, hitting 2 1/2 " below aim point and 2 1\2 " high at 100, putting you dead at 200. That will put you no more than 2 1/2'' off aimed target at anything within 300 yrs.
Zero it by using a decent mounting set up for the weapon to keep it completely stationary, and a known yardage. Use groups of three rounds and go forward from there.
