Stripes are confusing to look at and camouflage them.

Their great stamina helps them outpace predators

When chased Zebras zigzag from side to side making it more difficult for the predator

When cornered the zebra will rear up and kick or bite its attacker.

Heat

Big ears to let the heat out

Thin fur to keep cool

Mainly white fur to reflect suns light

Getting Food

Special teeth to chew the tough grass

One stomach which allows them to eat large amounts of food at a time

Developed digestive system allows them to eat tall, short, soft and thick grasses

Mating

Zebras have exceptionally long tongues for their mating displays and part of their intercourse rituals. As part of their display they put their head in the air and shake their tongue around.
