In order to get into an American Bar Association-accredited law school, you must first take the LSAT (Law School Admission Test). Once you get your score, you can apply to law school. Once you complete law school, you have to take the Bar Examination of the state that you want to practice in. Then, you go through an admissions process, but there's no testing after the Bar. Foreign-educated lawyers will probably just have to take the Bar Exam of the state they want to practice in.

I would say taking the bar exam. Law school can be challenging, but you have more time to spread it out. The bar exam is everything you learned in 3 to 4 years compressed into two days.
The qualification to take the bar exam may be met in some jurisdictions with a law degree from India. In order to practice you will have to pass the bar exam. That may require taking a number of review courses.
