The theory of continental is not accepted as it is been disproved, but it was replaced by the theory plate tectonics. This theory accepted because of may factors including the discovery of mid-ocean ridges, subduction zones, and the tracking of plates via GPS and other means.
That would help her, but no she does not. She has the Map to help her.
A GPS is very helpful for navigational and tracking uses. A GPS with you in your car can help you navigate new places quickly and with little anxiety. If your car happens to be stollen, you can use the GPS to track where it was taken to.
Yes! In January me and a few friends flew from Ohio to Arizona and my friend had her GPS in her carry-on. Just to double check you can go to their website and look to make sure nothing has changed.
GPS portable systems can be used for navigation, tracking, search & rescue operations, finding information and optimization of routes. The GPS will also help with finding several venues in a city.
Why not look into the use of current gps technology, and see if it is accurate enough to measure continental drift over short periods of time? Maybe this method is uncovering data that seems to be at odds with the current theory. Maybe you could look at projected movements and see if the projections help you predict future hot spots, like the currently well know circle of fire.
Alfred Wegener publically promoted the theory as early as 1912. Although he was convinced it was correct, it did not gain wide acceptance until the 1960s. Today we have measurements of the rates and directions of drift of the various place established with highly accurate GPS observations.
Yes, and with modern GPS measuring system we can actually see/measure the movement of the continents on a yearly basis. They move at the same speed that your fingernails grow.

GPS
"GPS allows scientists to monitor the change in position of points on the earth surface with time and so can measure the velocity of plate movements."
Yes and no. His hypothesis about how the plates were moved eventually was proven wrong, although his hypothesis that the plates had shifted in position over time was proven. The physical evidence in support of continental drift (now referred to as the theory of plate tectonics) began to be considered overwhelming back in the 1960s, with the discovery of the mid-ocean ridges and the accompanying paleomagnetic striping along the sea floor which has recorded magnetic reversals in newly formed crustal rock. More recently, we have measured the rates of motion of each of the continental plates using GPS satellite technology. The fact the plates drift is now indisputable.
help i need to find me lg420g phone it has gps enabled, please help
GPS devises
A GPS holder is not a necessity. The GPS will work just fine without it. Having a GPS holder will, however help you protect the GPS and prolong its useful life.
I do not think that a gps caddie can help improve golf scores. Only practice can help you with your golf performance. A gps can only allow you to see where you should aim your ball.
