He stayed at school over Christmas for the first four years. In his fifth year he was staying at Grimnauld Place, in his sixth year he stayed at the Burrow and he didn't go back for his seventh year.
Harry Potter started Hogwarts on the 1st September 1991. He then attended classes every Monday - Friday between September and mid-July except on holidays until July 1997. However, due to the death of Albus Dumbledore classes stopped on the 30th June.
