Years ago, Jesus died so that our sins could be forgiven. There were so many sins that they couldn't be forgiven just by saying it. So God sent His son Jesus so that one day He could be crucified to repay our sins. The story doesn't end at His last breath on the cross. In fact, Jesus' act of forgiveness on the cross is what allows us to be forgiven and be able to go to Heaven one day. To prove that Jesus wasn't just a typical guy, He came back to life after three days of the crucifixion. If you confess your sins to God you can go to heaven too. You just have to seriously believe in Him and let Him become a huge part of your life.

Hebrews 7:25 25Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them. "save completedly" means more than just usher into heaven at your last breath. It involves complete wholeness: Shalom. Calm provision, healing, many things in this time frame. His requirement is for us to control our heart-brain. Our heart has 40,000 neurons and is actually a small brain. Jn 14:27 “My Shalom I leave with you, My shalom I give unto you, Let not your heart-brain be troubled, neither let it be afraid...” Yeah, that was a command. To get more out of His intercesssion for us, we must obey his instructions. He also said to ask Him. Jn 14:14 If you ask anything in My Name, I will do it. Once again there is a prerequisite for some desired things/actions/etc. That being verbalizing a request.

Some people have witnessed His presence ...even recently. I spoke with quite credible individuals who have seen Him repeatedly.. Revelation 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that human, and they with me. These words were written down by John[after 35AD]. It's a promise by our Saviour of intimacy and covenant. He is a spirit, as are we[inside our bodies]. His offer is to inhabit our bodies with us, share space[if you will]. Some have tried it, taken Him up on the offer. Those who have "taken the plunge" discover how real He is, and, of course, HOW PRESENT HE IS! ONE THING I'VE DISCOVERED IS, THE MORE I INTERACT WITH HIM, THE STRONGER HIS PRESENCE BECOMES.

The influence of Jesus Christ remains present today through the Christian religion; however, Jesus himself is long dead and as such, "does" nothing for us today.

Jesus affects us through his words. He said if you love me keep my commandment.
