H is the independent state of a hydrogen atom that has 1 valence electron and is not in bonded state.whereas H2 is a molecular form of hydrogen and both atoms of hydrogen share their 1 valence electron with one another. H has to make a bond whereas H2 has made a covalent bond and has become a noble gas i.e. it will not make any bond with any other atom.H2 can be shown as

H . . H

H2

Note that "." are the atoms of hydrogen.

State one way in which a molecule of hydrogen and a molecule of oxygen differ?

A hydrogen atom has 1 proton and an oxygen atom has 8

How does molecule differ from an atom?

A molecule may be one or more atoms, where as an atom can only be one atom. For instance there are hydrogen atoms, and diatomic hydrogen molecules.

How do an atom of hydrogen and a molecule of hydrogen differ?

A molecule consists of many atoms. When you have a hydrogen molecule, or whatever other type of molecule for that matter, you have many hydrogen atoms that make it.

How atom of hydrogen is differ from molecule of hydrogen?

atoms are the building blocks of all matter, a molecule will contain atoms within it

Is hydrogen a molecule?

Hydrogen is an atom but the hydrogen molecule is diatomic.H is a single Hydrogen atom, and H2 is a molecule.

How do an atom of hydrogen and molecule of hydrogen differ?

A molecule of hydrogen is two atoms of hydrogen bonded together so that they share their single electrons, making them act as if they had a full s1 orbital in both atoms.

How does a molecle differ from an atom?

A molecule is a group of atoms Example: two atoms of Hydrogen + one atom of oxygen = H20 (water)

How is a molecule differ from an atom?

Atoms make up stable molecules. An atom is a single atom of an element. For example an atom of Helium(He) A molecule is two or more atoms bonded together. So hydrogen in its natural state of H2 is a molecule containing two hydrogen atoms. Another example is H2O which contains to atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen.

Which is the smallest a mite hydrogen atom DNA molecule or virus?

hydrogen atom

Why the mass of hydrogen molecule is greater then the mass of hydrogen atom?

The hydrogen molecule, H2, contains two hydrogen atoms and thus, has twice the mass of a single hydrogen atom.

What is the difference between a hydrogen atom and a hydrogen molecule?

A hydrogen atom is made from 1 hydrogen atom while a hydrogen molecule is made by 2 hydrogen atoms in a chemical compound thus making it twice as big too.

What causes a hydrogen bond?

When a molecule expands within a hydrogen atom it is released by an incorrerated molecule inside a desticated part of the atom.
