Alright, I'm doing a project for school on Ducks. Random yes, but the questions are difficult.
Of course when there is a male duck and a female duck and they mate the female will then lay her eggs. She lays 5-12 eggs and 28 or possibley 35 days after her sitting on them they hatch. After 5-8 weeks, the ducks can fly.
So I'm assuming that there is only 2 or 3 steps in the reproduction cycle.
1 - Eggs
2 - Babies
3 - Adults.

Yes, they do but not enough to warrant purchasing a flock to clear your pond of duck weed cause truth be told while they will eat it when the notice it, where ever duck weed grows, there is sure to far more exciting things to nibble on than just the duck weed--not to mention waterfowl can pass duck weed from one body of water to the next
