A Flushmate works by using water pressure to compress air inside a sealed tank, which then forces water out of the tank with high pressure to create a powerful flush. When the toilet is flushed, the compressed air forces water from the tank through the flush valve, resulting in a more effective and efficient flush compared to traditional gravity-fed systems.
The types of mechanical work include static work, dynamic work, and intensive work. Static work refers to work done without motion, dynamic work involves movement, and intensive work focuses on the internal energy changes within a system.
Input work is the work done on a machine, while output work is the work done by the machine. Efficiency of a simple machine is calculated as the ratio of output work to input work. The efficiency of a simple machine is high when the output work is close to the input work, indicating that the machine is converting most of the input work into useful output work.
The formula that relates work and power is: Power = Work / Time. Power is the rate at which work is done, which is the amount of work done divided by the time it takes to do that work.
the work a machine does is the work output what it takes to do the work is the work input
The formula to find the work output of efficiency is: Work output = Efficiency x Input work. Efficiency is a ratio of output work to input work, so multiplying this ratio by the input work gives the work output.
"Better off" below should be amended to say "NO." You cannot replace a Flushmate with a regular toilet valve. I have tried it, and I can tell you for certain that is does not work. The bowl itself is specially designed to work with the Flushmate system. Observe the shape and path of the pipe going from the tank to the bowl and compare to a regular toilet to see the difference. If you replace the BOWL, then you can replace the Flushmate system in the tank with a standard valve, as the TANK is the same as a toilet without the Flushmate system, but the BOWL must be designed to work with Flushmate. DIsclaimer: I am not a plumber, this is based on my own experiments and observations as a money-grubbing homeowner. No your better off throwing the flushmate away with the toilet and buying a new T&B
nope, nada ,no way
You would need to use a container of water like a 5 gallon bucket and pour it into the toilet. As you pour it in, the excess water will cause the toilet to drain.
It depends on the manufacturer of the pressure tank. Call them for an answer. The most common is the Sloan Flushmate system it is used by most toilet manufacturers. Kohler made their own system but it was a lemon and was discontinued they offer a retrofit tank to use the Sloan Flushmate system cost is $125 call Sloan for p/n details it has to be ordered from Kohler and will take about a month to get. Eljer also makes their own. Sloan Flushmate 800-533-3460 Kohler 920-457-4441 Eljer 800-423-5537 Repairs on these toilets can get time consuming, & expensive, replacement may be a better option. My recommendations for replacement toilets are the Toto Drake and the Kohler Cimmeron both of which are fantastic toilets that will be very unlikely to clog. Avoid Am Std Champion as there are some serious quality control issues.
