An object gives up one or more protons to get a positively charged objects and absorbs one or more electrons to get a negatively charged objects. This happens when two objects are rubbed together (ex. when you rub your feet on the carpet to give some one a shock;rubbing balloon on one's hair)

If the positive and negative charges are equal, then the object has a 'net' neutral charge.

Is there any negative charge on a positive charged object?

Any "object" larger than elementary particles consists of positive and negative charges. If your object has a negative charge, it simply has more particles with a negative charge than particles with a positive charge.

Is an object without a charge repelled by both positive and negative charges?

Positive and negative charges would have not effect on an object without charge.

yes

When an object has more negative charge than positive charge what is it called?

The object is named an 'ANION'. A CATION has positive charge. Collectively they are named as 'IONS'.

How is discharging in a positive object different in a negative object?

The direction of the flow of electric current. In a positive object, electrons flow to it because it has an abscence of negative charge (aka electrons). In a negative object, it has an abundance of negative charge (electrons) so electrons flow away from it.

What charge does an object have if it has more negative particles than positive particles?

negative

Does an electroscope identify if an object has a positive or negative charge or does it just indicate that an object has a charge?

Alll an electroscope does is tell you if there is charge

Is an object that has no electric charge as a whole is negative or positive?
