No. The air pressure decreases with altitude, as the molecules are not being pressed together as greatly. In simple terms, there is a "higher stack" of air molecules pushing down on you when you are closer to the surface. The pressure (and oxygen level) drops off dramatically by around 10,000 feet in altitude.

The air pressure will decrease because as you get higher in the air the air pressure decreases.

Hope this helps. 😊

It decreases exponentially.

For every metre you ascend, the pressure per square metre reduces by the weight of air per cubic metre at the height where you are.

Why Does atmospheric pressure decreased as you climb a mountain?

The atmosphere is full of layers and when you are at ground level, you have a maximum amount of air above you, but when you climb the mountain, the amount of air decreases and thus the pressure Hope that was helpful!

On my sims agents for Wii how do you somplete the snowy mountain level?

just climb it

Why is high air pressure near earths surface?

Because there is more air (which has weight) above you if you are around sea level. If you fly up, or climb a mountain, there is less air above you, therefore less air pressure.

Why the air in the balloon increases when you are on a high altitude in aeroplane?

Actually the amount of air doesn't increase, the pressure outside the baloon decreases. When you fill a balloon at sea level, the air inside the balloon is at sea level pressure. When you climb in an airplane to 35,000 ft, the pressure outside the balloon decreases. Since the pressure is higher inside, it can push out more. This is also the same principal for when your ears pop when you climb and descend.

Where is the air pressure the greatest at sea level or on a mountain?

sea level

What is the difference in boiling pure water on a mountain top and at sea level?

The boiling point of water at sea level is 100 degrees centigrade. but the boiling point of water at a mountain top will depend on the atmospheric pressure of the air around that mountain top area at the time . if u were to measure the air pressure as u climb a mountain u would notice a change ; a reduction in air pressure . hence as you approach the top of the mountain the air pressure would have been seen to reduce to a much lowe rvalue that that at sea level height . i think it can be as low as 70 degrees centigrade at some mountain tops. in comparison if u had an enclosed metal vessel and made the pressure inside that increase to a very high value, the water would now boil at a much greater temperature , 250 degrees ? maybe .

Where is there more air pressure sea level or at the top of a mountain?

At sea level

Where is air pressure the highest sea level or atop a mountain?

Sea level

Is atmospheric pressure higher on a mountain or sea level?

The answer is sea level. Because atmospheric pressure decreases when altitude increases

Why do we get altitude sickness?

Altitude sickness occurs when people increase altitude too quickly. What is the cause of altitude sickness? Acute mountain sickness is caused by reduced air pressure and lower oxygen levels at high altitudes. The faster you climb to a high altitude, the more likely you will get acute mountain sickness. You are at higher risk for acute mountain sickness if: You live at or near sea level and travel to a high altitude. Oct 16, 2017

What is the air pressure on Mt Kosciusko?

Not much different than sea level but a cool thing to do, next time you climb the mountain put a big packet of chips in your pack and then take it out on the summit. The packet of chips will then be huge and can even explode because of the pressure change.
