Fan loved her brother dearly and wanted her father to allow him home from Boarding School where he had been abandond for most of his childhood. Eventually she was allowed to bring him home at which point ther sore to be together forever. Sadly Fan was to die in child birth some years later which effected Scrooge considerably.
