Food coloring spreads in water but not oil because the molecules that make up the coloring are soluble (able to be dissolved) in water. Water molecules are polar, which means they have an unequal distribution of charge on them. They are like little magnets, with a positive side and a negative side. Other particles with charge will be attracted to these little magnets, resulting in the material dissolving in water. The food coloring dissolves in water because its particles spread out amidst the water molecules due to this attraction.
Oil is a non-polar substance, which means that its particles have no charge. Other non-polar materials will dissolve in oil, but a polar substance will not. Hence the separation of oil and water when they are mixed together. Oil is also thicker then water
its water based....water and oil dont mix.
It doesnt. The two substances do not mix because food coloring is water-based.
Mix the three and observe
In a glass, usually the water is at the bottom and the oil on top, depends how you do it, but I did it once with the oil on top and the food colouring slowly went into the oil, depending on how thick the oil is on top, if it is thin, the drop of food colouring will drop through, if it is thick, it will take longer to go through or may not go through at all, so u would have to poke it through with something. Then it gets to the water and just spreads like it normally would in liquid. I made a lava lamp once. Adding water to a glass and a bit of oil on top. You add the food colouring and then add salt. It weights the oil down and then it rises back up. It so awesome. Hope that helps, if it does, please let me know onmy messageboard. Blondie94

Yes. This can be due to natural and man made food colouring's in the food or blood. If its the latter medical advice should be sought
it can go through food fast
You should try it and see. Go to the kitchen, get a clear glass of water, and add a drop of food colouring to it. Or ink, if you have it. It's probably how quick the ink spreads through the water
Are you talking about bread form the store or bread you're baking from scratch? You can colour homemade bread with food colouring, just add it to the water in your mix. But if you try to colour already baked bread with food colouring, it will just go soggy. You could try softening up some butter and adding your food colouring to that before you butter your bread though. That would work.
Food items such as French fries, chicken tenders, onion rings, and shrimp typically go through the holes in a deep fry basket to be submerged in hot oil for frying. The holes allow the oil to circulate around the food, ensuring even cooking and a crispy exterior.
Yes. Oil can pass through filter paper sucsessfully.
no
It can be red from hemorrhoids in the anus, an ulcer, or from food coloring. If this happens to you all the time, go to a doctor immediately.
When oil get pumped up it will go to separator for separere the oil from water and gas(H2S).After separated oil will go to refinery.
