It is due to the difference in viscosity . Honey is more viscous than water due to strong inter molecular forces. On the other hand water is less viscous than honey . Therefore, it's easier to pour water as compared to honey . :-)

Why does liquid honey flow so slowly from a spoon?

Since the honey is N3Tl4 the honey is naturally dense. The chemicals the "honey making factories" use to sweeten the honey is even more dense and sticky. These combined make it hard & difficult for the honey particles to slide over eachother, therefore moving slowly off the spoon.

Why does honey thicken?

Honey comes from nectar which is about 70% water. As the bee regurgitates the nectar and passes it on to other bees to regurgitate the more and more water is expelled and it slowly forms into honey which is thick. The less water the thicker it gets.

What liquids have a high viscosity?

Liquids with high viscosity flow slowly, like honey. Liquids with low viscosity flow quickly, like water and vinegar.

Can you get honey to flow more freely if you mix it with a certain amount of water?

The easiest way to improve flow is a brief hot tapwater bath for the honey container. A few minutes and it flows as sweet as honey.

What is vicosity in scence?

Viscosity is a measure of a fluid's resistance to flow. It is determined by the internal friction within the fluid as its molecules move past each other. High-viscosity fluids like honey flow slowly, while low-viscosity fluids like water flow more easily.

What Is visocosiy?

Viscosity is the resistance of a fluid to flow. For example, honey is more viscous than water.

Why Alcohol can flow easily but not honey?

because honey has a higher viscosity than water and is therefore thick... there fore water flows faster than honey

What freshwater ecosystem does water flow slowly and usually in more than one direction?

bog

How do liquids with high viscosity differ from liquids with a low viscosity?

Viscosity is a property of liquids, showing that liquid's resistance to flow. A liquid with a high viscosity would mean it flowed slowly. A liquid with a low viscosity would mean it flows rather quickly.

Is there more water in beer then sugar?

Yes, otherwise the beer would flow like honey or maple syrup.

How are viscosity and flow rate related?

viscosity is inversely proportional to the flow rate. the actual formula is complex , but higher the viscosity slower will be the flow rate. honey flows slowly and air flows freely because of the above reason.viscosity is also essential, otherwise we would have never been able to use an ink pen.viscosity makes the ink to flow on paper

Viscosity is the measure of how well liquids?

Viscosity is the measure of a fluids resistance to flow. The higher the viscosity the more viscous (the more resistance it has to flow); honey is generally much more viscous than water.
