I am not a doctor, but since oxycodone is an instant release pain reliever, more powerful than morphine, stopping it suddenly probably won't do anything to your liver at all. However it may affect your pain level.
ask your doctor, oxycodone can cause liver problems if abused
Your liver
what a bodybuilder do to reduce the affect of anabolic steroid
Alcohol affects liver function all by itself. Prednisone and alcohol can cause liver and pancreatic damage, as can prednisone alone.
Lortab has hydrocodone and acetomenophen and is usually where everybody gets hydrocodone from. Large doses of acetomenophen can destroy your liver.
oxycodone is metabolized by the cytochrome isoenzyme CYP2D6 of the liver
yes you can take it instead of or with they use methadone to treat pain and or withdrawals for oxycodone
Your first one Acetaminopen will take a toll on you liver after a while. It also know to upset the stomach as it causes ulcers
Yes, combining oxycodone and aleve cause no adverse reactions. However, unless you are taking oxycontin, it is more than likely you are taking a preparation of oxycodone and a drug similar to aleve such as acetaminophen (tylenol) or ibuprofen (advil). Your prescription bottle will be labeled with any mixer in the preparation. If it has a mixer in it aleve would probably do little to further relieve pain, and taking aleve on top of a mixer could potentially be hard on your liver. unless you are absolutely positive there is no mixer, I would not suggest taking aleve with oxycodone.
yes it can affect your liver
Yes, depending on the dose and frequency taken (over 1200mg daily). It is still preferable to the use of Tylenol, though, which should be avoided in liver dysfunction.
Neither in and of itself is damaging to the liver. Opioids are some of the safest drugs available as far as organ health goes. However, anything taken in excess can be damaging. Sometimes oxycodone is prescribed with Tylenol, and when this is the case it is the Tylenol that can damage the liver, if taken in excess. As always, take these meds as prescribed and you should have no trouble.
