A particle of light, called a photon, travels at the speed of light toward the object. The photon hits an atom, or particle of matter, on the object. The atom absorbs the energy from the light and releases a new frequency of light. Basically, some wavelengths of light are absorbed and some are reflected off. The new photon travels toward your eye, hits your eye, and sends a signal to your brain for processing. FACT: A small portion of the spectrum of light is what we see, the rest of the light surrounding us is in the form of radio waves, microwaves, infrared, ultraviolet, and x-rays.
visible light is the only VISIBLE light.
we see things when a light source goes into our eyes or when it reflects off an object
Visible Light is an electromagnetic wave. Electromagnetic waves often are called different things depending on the wavelength of the wave. Examples are Radio waves, Microwaves, Infrared, Visible light, Ultraviolet, X-rays, Gamma Rays.
Things that make light
Visible light is visible (for the human eye), infrared is not. Infrared has a longer wavelength, and a higher frequency. visible light is visible to human i.e the VIBGYOR, above vibgyor are ultravoilet light which is not visible to human eye and below vibgyor are infrared light which is also not visible to human eye.
the luminous energy to help people light up their home to make things visible.
Those things that transmit visible light.
Visible light is used to see things with. This is especially useful when driving, and when walking around the house without bumping into dogs or other things.
Well, seeing as it seperates visible light, it follows that it only seperates that visible light into the visible spectrum. You can't make radiowaves or UV rays out of visible light.
Things are visible because light bounces off of them and we see the reflected light. Things that are transparent are invisible, because the light passes right through and doesn't bounce off.
To see things.
YES. Visible light is the leading cause of death of humans on the Earth and is extremely dangerous. THIS IS IMPORTANT. If you see visible light in the wild, DO NOT APPROACH IT. I am the administrator of the Organization for Protection Of Humans from the Dangers of Visible Light (OPOHDOVL). Always remember to watch out for visible light in the daytime. That's when they get you!
Of the light spectrum? no.
In a kaleidoscope, light is used to make make the colors and shapes inside visible.
Where visible light is present, you may be inadvertently and unwittingly thrust into the situation where you see things that you were not meant to see, or that you would rather not see.
The natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible.
Visible light waves are the electromagnetic waves which are detected by the human eye. They make up only a small part of the electromagnetic spectrum. So, visible light is any light in which the human eye can detect.
