The air is in direct contact with the heated earth (conduction). Heat rises and is replaced by cool air, and that is when we feel a breeze (convection).

The heat rising in waves is also known as radiation.

During the day, the sun warming the land also warms the air. Since land heats up quicker than water does, the air over land gets warmer than the air over the water. Consiquently, the warmer air, being less dense moves up. To fill its place the cooler air over the water moves in to fill its place creating whats known as a Sea Breeze. Reversly, at night the land cools down faster than the water does, and creates a Land Breeze.

According to me...at night the land is cool and the sea is hot so the heat moves form higher region to the lower region .the sea air became less dense and expands and rises up and again became denser when it touches the cool surface of land takes place of the hot air.

What type of heat energy dose a telly give out radiation or convection or conduction?

Radiation, convection and conduction are not different types of energy, but different methods of conveying the energy. The heat energy from a television set will be conveyed mainly through conduction and convection, ie the casing will heat up through conduction and the air above the televison will become heated through convection. There will be heat transmitted by radiation, but this will quickly encounter air molecules which will then add to the convection effect.

What form of heat is caused by the greenhouse effect?

There are three types of heat transfers: conduction, convection and radiation. The heat transfer caused by the greenhouse effect is radiation.

Which two methods of heat transfer are possible with liquids which of the two has greater effect?

The two methods of heat transfer that are possible with liquids are convection and conduction. Convection has a greater effect because it helps heat spread faster.

Does earth's rotation cause land breezes or sea breezes?

Neither the Earth's rotation causes the Coriolis effect. Land and sea breezes are caused by temperature differences.

How does reflectivity of the aluminium foil influence to keep the food warm?

Heat can be transferred by 3 mechanisms: conduction, convection, and radiation. When food is covered by aluminum foil, the foil does reduce convection a bit because the air next to the food is trapped there. A bigger effect is the reflection of the heat by the foil. Rather than continuing on its path to dissipate into the surroundings, the heat is reflected by the foil back into the food, thus helping to keep it warm.

What are the ways which heat can be transferred?

There is a special mechanism that controls heat transfer.

How does the air around a thermometer effect the thermometers temperature?

Conduction and radiation. Heat always flows from the hotter of two objects into the colder - until their temperatures are the same.

What is the temperatures and the climate?

temperature has high effect on temperature as bcz of breezes

What is dromotropic effect?

Dromotropic effect is the effect on conduction of current. It could be positive or negative depending on the final outcome. A negative dromotropic effect would mean decrease in conduction activity of current while positive would mean increase in conduction activity of current.

What is the relationship between convection currents in the ocean and convection currents in the atmosphere?

Which best explains the relationship between ocean currents and convection currents?(1 point) Responses Convection currents join with the Coriolis effect to create the winds that drive ocean currents. Convection currents join with the Coriolis effect to create the winds that drive ocean currents. Ocean currents rely on warm convection currents to strength the Coriolis effect. Ocean currents rely on warm convection currents to strength the Coriolis effect. Ocean currents create a Coriolis effect that increases convection currents. Ocean currents create a Coriolis effect that increases convection currents. Convection currents use the Coriolis effect to generate ocean currents.

How does surface color affect rate of conduction?

The colour of a surface has no effect on the rate of conduction.
