it is saving up to about 1/3 of the energy with iron and aluminum it does not have to go through the mining process with the big vehicles for mining ( alot ) and does not have to be refined, while with plastics it is very hard to sort out the different sorts and you have to worry as the wrong kind could ruin piles of materials that could be recycled but if sorted properly it works normally.
