Resistance is the ratio of voltage to current. If you increase the resistance while maintaining the same voltage, then the current will decrease, and vice-versa.

A resistor is a poorer conductor of electricity than a metal wire ...
thus it "resists" the flow of current.
The higher the resistance, the lower the current ... as in I = E/R

What si a resister?

A resistor is an electronic device that reduces the current flow in a circuit.

What is the name of a device that can be used to control the amount of current?

A resister limits the amount of current passing through a circuit.

What effect does resister tolerance have on a measured value of circuit current?

A: One example is the gain of an op amp the gain is strictly related to resistors in a closed loop. The gain will change % wise as the resistor change % wise

Can a resistance be used in the circuit instead of diode?

No. A resister is not a replacement component for a diode. A resister is passive and allows current to flow through in in both directions. A diode is a single semiconductor junction that only allow current to flow in one direction.

Why load resister is conected across the circuits?

Load resistors are connected across the circuit to limit the current flowing through the load.

How is the resistance of a resister calculated?

ohms law calculation for a series circuit - Total Resistance = Total Voltage divided by Total Current

What the role of a resistor in an led circuit?

a resister is to RESIST current flow....if the LED gets the full effect of the power supply, the LED will immediately blow out.

How Using Ohms law do you find the amount of current that would flow in a circuit that contains a 10 v source and a 4K resister?

Voltage = Current * Resistance Current = Voltage / Resistance 2.5ma = 10v / 4K

How do you change the ratio of a current to voltage?

Change the resistance in the circuit

What circuit whose parameters change with voltage or current?

non-linear circuit

How does a resister pack work?

resister is nothing but a 'clay' which will reduce the flow of current. There by limiting the volt.
