Can seroquel and zyprexa be taken together?

Yes, but it's not really recommended. Both are very similar as they are both atypical antipsychotics typically prescribed for bipolar disorder (with other uses to treat depression, various panic disorders, and other off-label uses).I wouldn't advise taking the two together unless your psychiatrist says otherwise since they are both essentially identical in their effects. The biggest difference is that zyprexa lasts at least 24 hours, while seroquel only lasts 6-8 hours. If you don't have a tolerence to either one of the drugs, then I would strongly advise against taking the two together since it will knock you out.... hard.
