if a rubber ball is heated up it causes the molecules' energy to increase. as a result it exerts more pressure which causes it to bounce higher. heat also make the rubber a little softer so it will give the rubber ball a higher bounce.

Does temperature affect the bounce of a rubber ball?

Temperature does not affect the bounce of a rubber ball. Let's say you bounce a rubber ball on the grass. The result will be different then bouncing a rubber ball on a concrete surface. The result is different because you are using a solid, hard surface to bounce the ball with. But the temperature will not affect the bounce of a rubber ball. you can test it out for youself.

How does temperature affect a rubber ball?

it makes it not bounce as high

How does the material on a ball affect its bounce?

Most balls in this case are made of rubber, the thicker or more dense the rubber the less the bounce

How does temperature affect the bounce of a ball?

Probably because if its windy and you try to bounce the ball it will blow away.

Can the temperature of the ball affect its bounce?

Yes because if it's too hot the ball would melt and not bounce.

What will bounce higher then a rubber ball?

A glass ball will bounce higher than a rubber one.

How does temperature effect the height of the bounce of a rubber ball?

A higher temperature will excite the molecules in the ball. It then becomes slightly bigger and thus will bounce higher. A lower temp. does the opposite.

Which will bounce higher a hot or cold ball?

Neither. When a rubber ball gets hot, the rubber begins to lose its elasticity. It doesn't bounce as high. When a rubber ball gets really cold, it starts to behave rather like a rock. It hardly bounces at all The temperature of highest bounce depends on exactly what the ball is made of, but it is probably not all that far from room temperature.

Why does temperature affect the bounce of a tennis ball?

When the ball is hot, the molecules move faster and they act as a spring causing the ball to bounce higher.

Does temperature affect bounce of a Basketball?

Yes. If it is colder the ball will bounce less than when it is warmer.

What is the affect of temperature on a squash ball?

The colder the ball the less bounce. The warmer the ball the more bouncy it is.

How does temperature affect the height that a dropped ball bounces?

When the ball is at a low temperature, the molecules are not flexible and bounce only to a small height. On the other hand, if the ball is warm or at a higher temperature, it will bounce longer heights.

How does temperature affect the bounce of a bouncy ball?

Temperature does affect the bounce of a ball. I know this because I did an expiremnt on the exact same question. The hotter the temperature is, the more pressure builds up inside a ball and the more bouncier it will be. The colder it is, pressure decreaces making it bounce lower than what the ball bounced at room temperature. In conclusion, the ball bounces higher when it is warmer and it bounces lower when it is colder.

How does the ground temperature affect the bounce of a tennis ball?

Yeah, so temperature simply affect the bounce. That's just the way it is Answer: the temperature of the ground affects how solid the ground is. If you compare bouncing a ball on cement (frozen ground-great bounce!) to bouncing it on sand (mud-no bounce) or a padded rug (grass-like-some bounce) you can understand how this works.

How temperature affect the bounce of a tennis ball. show a bar chart?

Temperature does affect the bounce of a ball. I know this because I did an expiremnt on the exact same question. How does the mass of a ball affect the height of its bounce?

The more air the rubber gets stronger and then bounces higher.

Does heating a rubber ball cause it to bounce higher?

There is no doubt any rubber ball will have an optimum "bounce" temperature and it is unlikely this is room temperature. it could in fact be cooler. It is well known squash balls are warmed up before being used, so it is likely warming bouncy balls up will make them bounce more.

Why does the temperature affect the bounce of a basketball?

Because the temprature is responsible for the pressure inside the ball.

How does temperature affect how high a ball will bounce?

Temperature plays a role in how high a ball bounces. The colder it is, the less the ball compresses when bounces which produces less height when bounced. The warmer it is, the more the ball will compress which will in turn cause it to bounce higher.

Why does rubber bounce higher than plastic?

Rubber will bounce higher than plastic because the rubber has more elastic qualities. A rubber ball will give a little when it hits the floor and a plastic ball will not.

Can the temperature of a tennis ball affect its bounce?

Yes, this is because when the tennis ball is in a heated environment warm air enters through the ball and because the temperature gets higher, the tennis ball would get bigger. When the tennis ball is bigger it would bounce higher.

How does temperature affect the bounce of balls?

The heat sometimes exspands the ball because it is made of ruber
