The sea being liquid is less dense than land (solid). The sea therefore heats to a greater depth, but the depth means that in summer the sea takes longer to heat up than the land. Once it is warmed up however, it retains the heat for a lot longer, and takes longer to cool down in Winter. This means the further away from the sea you are, the warmer the summers you'll have, but the cooler the winters you'll have. And by the same token as above the nearer the sea the less likely you are to be freezing in winter & baking in summer, the climate is more Equable.

Lists factors that affect temperatures of places on earth?

Factors that affect temperatures of places on Earth include latitude (distance from the equator), altitude (elevation above sea level), proximity to bodies of water, ocean currents, prevailing winds, and elevation of landmasses. Climate patterns and geographic location also play a significant role in determining temperatures of specific regions.

How does altitude and distance from large bodies of water and ocean affect the climate?

Altitude makes your climate colder.Distance from the sea makes your climate warmer at the start of summer and cooler at the end (water warms more slowly than land, but also retains the heat longer).

How does Georgia distance from the ocean affect its temperature?

If some water body or an area, is near a water body, then you'll get breezes from the see. So, many prefer living in those places. Whereas places far away from the sea, (not like within a city, but within a huge landmass) experience Continental type of climate.
