A food web is a series of food chains linked together. Their purpose is to show how energy transfers itself through an ecosystem, or some sort of environment.
Food webs are divided into different "levels" which consist of at least one living organism - producers (like plants and trees) count.
Arrows (or some sort of indication) point from lower levels to higher levels (never vice-versa) - which indicate the flow of energy between the two living organisms.
Together with the organisms in the levels, and the arrows showing the flow of energy between the levels, a food web is created.
The different levels have a special name
first-order consumers also known as primary consumers
second-order consumers also known as secondary consumers
third-order consumers also known as ( I don't really know what to call this one xD)
The food web is a very complicated band of animals against animals. it all starts with the top of the food chain, which would be carnivours and such. Next in the food web, are the plant eaters, or herbavours. The lowest group in the food web are the producers of all living things. They live on the grass and plants that the herbavours eat. Let's say that there is a hawk, a snake, a mouse, and a grasshopper. The hawk is at the top of the food web, because it can eat all of the other animals. A snake is also a carnivour, but can get eaten by a hawk, so it is the second on the food web. The mouse can get eaten by both the hawk and the snake, so it is third on the food web. The grasshopper can get eaten by all of the animals, so it is last on the food web. I know this is all really confusing and makes no sense, but i hopw it helps someone!
it is constructed by a series of interlinked food chains is called food web. Many food chains are linked because very few animals feed on just one thing. For example, most carnivores eat whatever small animals they can find. A herbivore might eat different types of plants depending on the seasons.
Food webs illustrate energy flow from primary producers to primary consumers (herbivores), and from primary consumers to secondary consumers (carnivores). ... In a trophic cascade, predators induce effects that cascade down the food chain and affect biomass of organisms at least two links away (Ricklefs 2008).
it is a irrelated foodweb that is a mix of lots of food chains
a food web works to allow other animals to get food
food chains are sequences of who eats whom. a food web is a bunch of food chains that are related.

Food web.
a meadow food web is a meadow food web!
A food web consists of one part of a food web. For example a food web would be: Carrot- Rabbit- Fox- Worm/ Decomposer. A food web is multiple food webs together. The multiple food chains 'web' together forming a food web.
Well naturally spiders have an unlimited supply of web. They need a web to catch food, if the web were to get torn and the spider didn't have unlimited web then he'd be out of food and die.
they are not in the food web
food chain lol #c I'm looking for the answer to 20#
