Vacuum is a great insulator, because there needs to be some medium for processes of conduction or convection to occur. The only possible way to transfer heat through vacuum is radiation, which is not as effective, especially that flask walls are also constructed to limit radiation heat transfer(they are reflective).

Temperature stays the same if there are no means to transfer energy between interior end environment.
