The tribe creates a ring of fire and pushes Ralph toward the beach, where they have gathered. They use their hunting skills and tribal knowledge to manipulate Ralph into the path of the fire, effectively cornering him. With the combination of the fire and their strategic positioning, they are able to successfully surround Ralph and capture him.

Jack and his choir became hunters and helped Ralph and the others hunt for food on the island. However, they eventually broke away from Ralph's leadership and formed their own tribe, leading to a violent power struggle.

Ralph told Samneric that he would hide out in the bushes, so eventually Samneric squeal on Ralph to Jack.
Ralph got very excited and proud of what he had done and he finally began to understand the attraction that hunting held for Jack's tribe.

They get captured by Jack and his tribe when they go with Piggy and Ralph to receive Piggy's stolen glasses. They are forced to become a part of Jack's tribe and sell out Ralph when they are searching for him across the island. They didn't want to, but they appeared to finally turn on to Jack's side.
