Most of the time yes they will. Like if you're leaving for a trip or if it's only one or two days early then most places will refill the prescription. You could have gotten all of the medicine at once anyway, so they really can't keep you from getting the rest of it whenever you want to.
Now if it's a new prescription for the same medicine then you might run into trouble, but if the same doctor gave you another script then I don't think they have a choice. You will run into problems if you have gone to more than one doctor and gotten the same medicine, maybe even serious problems. Do not do this, you could risk legal action against you.
These are not facts by any means, but it seems from my experiences this is the way it works.

∙ 12y agoIn my experience, which is, haha, extensive, the best thing to do is tell them you're leaving on a trip and will not have access to any pharmacies. I'm a forester, so a lot of times I'm back in the mountains, far from any kind of pharmacy. I have no way to get anywhere I can refill a prescription when I'm due, so I often have to fill mine early. Most pharmacies are pretty good about it, but some may call your doctor to authorize it if it's a controlled substance. Just depends on the pharmacy. If you want to avoid this, go on a day or time where your doctor isn't going to be in his office, such as a Friday evening, and say you're leaving before he's available. Usually they have little choice but to fill it, as you need the medication and have extenuating circumstances. If this is something you don't do often it will work. However, be sensible and know what you're going to say before you go. Tell yourself you ARE going on this trip, know what you're going to do, ect. and haha don't go back to the pharmacy while you're supposed to be gone.
