First of all plants don't affect erosion in fact, they help us to stop soil from eroding. The process of wearing away of soil slowly over a period of time by wind , water , etc. is called soil erosion . The roots of the plants hold the soil and its particles together to prevent the soil from erosion . That's why we must plant trees to stop soil from eroding. =D

the uppermost layer of soil is loose.when wind blows , it can carry away topsoil.when rain falls and water flows on the land, much topsoil is carried away.erosion by wind water removes much of topsoil.

No. Erosion is more common in areas of sparse (very little) vegetation. Plant roots prevent erosion.
