im pretty sure the block was the same from way back when up until around the mid to late 90's. the only difference is in 88 they went to TBI and changed the valve covers to center bolt and the intake bolts go in straight up and down instead of at an angle same goes for the vortec motors, so if you wanted to put heads off a old carb motor on a vortec block, i dont see why not just gonna have to change a few things as far as the intake
NO, The 1996 must have the 96 model 4L60E PUT BACK IN IT.
Work Truck
this is a big job , pull off intake manifold and the heads to get to the lifters , and when you put it back together adjust your valves . if not done correctly you could ruin engine.
Will a 95 cheve 1500 back windo fit a 97 cheve 1500 truck
NO you can not. It MUST have the 4L60E put back in it. Because of the computer system.
They were not tightened properly.
No such thing as a DE-TORQUE pattern.Just remove the bolts from the heads from front to back.
the book calls for 4 hours but i think around 1.5 hrs depending on what year the truck is
the block & heads are the same you just have to pull the 305 out & put the 350 back in
Cut the springs from the front & burn the back fleas
It will bolt on, but it will look funny, The 92 truck is not as wide as the 81 truck. so the bed will hang out wide against the back of the cab. Total different body style.
