Very fast, plus they are small which makes them very hard to catch! yes they are faster when they are younger though!

∙ 15y agoI live in Houston but i have a farm in the country. i take my poodle there to run the horses with my border collies. as i was leaving in my pickup, i raced her for about 300 yards. I was driving a steady 23 mph and she was keeping pace. she is young and energetic and she is a year old, about 24 inches and 46 lbs. now my female border collie who is the same age and a little smaller can out run her no problem. I have yet to clock her but i am confident it will be around 30 or 35 mph. my poodle is also not nearly as agile as my border collie, though. I am not a professional, but I think that my simple way of measuring is fairly accurate.
