I think they run at about 30-55 miles per hour I know a quarter horse can run up to 40 or 55 miles an hour and I have a blue roan that runs that fast and a fox trotter that's stubborn but can run up to 25-30 miles per hour I learned this from my teacher Babette and I'm only 14

A racing thoroughbred can reach speeds of 40 miles per hour (approx. 65 km/h) over a short distance. Clydesdales are built for strength, certainly not speed, so I doubt a Clydesdale would be able to gallop anything faster than 30 km/h.
Yes I think that they would be a fast horse for running. For more information search for the question how fast is a clydesdale horse. They have some pretty good information.
2nd answer:
Clydesdales are bred for power - pulling plows, freight wagons, and so forth. The smaller, sleeker horses like the Arab, thoroughbred, and the quarter horse run much faster than the Clydesdale.
