I attached a bicycle speedometer to my degus' wheel some time ago, and have found their maximal speed was like 4-5 km/h.
This may take a while but it is possible to tame degu. Not all degu can be tamed, so be aware of this. Now, your degu may be a bit fast and if you try to hold them they may try to run away, so i would get a cheap tent from argos or somewhere like that. Make sure to get one that is fully sealed so that your degu cannot escape, hold them in this tent every day and after a while they will get to know you and they will start to get tamer :D
yes it is possible to tame a degu
This all depends on what gender your degu is. If you have a male degu, you should get a male degu, but if you have a female degu you should get a female degu. In other words you should get same sex pairs. But oviously if you want to breed get a male and a female, but be warned they breed like crazy!
Mountain Degu was created in 1844.
i have one degu i rescued from a place where they adpoted off his fellow degu separate and he was there for a while. i need to get him a new degu play mate....any places in southern maine??
Degu Debebe was born on 1984-01-01.
Degu's can lose their tails as a form of defense, a degu should NEVER be picked up by it's tail. their tails do not grow back
a degu averagely weighs about 5-8 ounces
Only if you want the degu to be killed and quite possibly eaten.
Predators of the Degu include different varieties of bird and foxes.
Degu's originate in Chile, a country on the western side of South America
I'm not quite sure what you mean by this question. Degus are shaped like a degu.
