most engines now days are designed & tested by computers reliability is near the same across the board even on Chinese muck. But Ryobi is Japanese of course!! just be careful it is not radioactive.
I can't imagine that would make much difference. The different weights of oil affect the durability of the oil in the long term and its performance in high or low temperatures. hi just to let everyone know i went ahead and used the 10w40 oil instead of the 10w30 that is suggested in the ryobi petrol lawnmower manual and it worked perfectly i have a 140cc 4stroke petrol lawnmower model no RLM140SP thanks steed69

If the Ryobi is a 2 stroke engine you must use 2 stroke oil and never use 4 stroke. But you ask about 20w50 oil which is confusing. 2 cycle engine do not use multi-vicosity oil. Any 2 cycle oil can be used in your Ryobi if it is mixed at the correct ratio.
50:1. Be sure to use 2-stroke oil.
Ryobi was created on 1943-12-16.

The Ryobi and Craftsman are made of the same manufacture parts.
I tried a Ryobi black and yellow 18V on my homelite charger and tools and it did not wrok - the lights on the charger are diffrent. The I tried the super Ryobi's and also did not wrok.
Cutting melamine cleanly has very little to do with the machine, and a lot to do with the blade. You want fine, sharp teeth, and you want the cutting stroke to move away from the surface you want to preserve.
