In Judges 4, Deborah (prophetess of God) sent for Barak (leader of Zebulun) and instructed him 'Go, take with you ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulun and lead the way to Mount Tabor'.
This with the promise that God would deliver Sisera over to them. Barak's response was that of mistrust in the prophetess of God with "I won't go unless you also Go". Deborah complied, God delivered them a great victory but they were humbled because the honor of the victory "went over to a woman" (Deborah) Judges 4:9.
When moving into Canaan the Naphtali and Zebulun tribes failed to displace the Canaanites. So, since they couldn't remove them, they moved in among the Canaanites.
Judges 1:30-33 "Zebulon, Asher, and Naphtali all tried unsuccessfully to drive the Canaanites from their territory, but settled for moving in among them."
What a terrible concession these tribes made with the enemy. Not only did they give up their Royal heritage as God's chosen people, but they also settled to intermingle with heathens and inter-marry.
The Lord humbled Naphtali and Zebulun by allowing them to be invaded and taken captive by the Assyrians, which resulted in a loss of freedom and independence for the tribes. This humbling experience served as a means for the Lord to discipline and correct them for their disobedience.

Jacob who later had his name changed to Israel was the father to the 12 tribes of Israel. Jacob has 12 sons (Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin) and at least one daughter (Dinah).
The sixth son of Jacob in the Old Testament was Naphtali. He was the son of Jacob and his wife Bilhah, who was Rachel's maidservant. Naphtali's name means "my struggle" in Hebrew.
According to the Old Testament, the Lord humbled Naphtali and Zebulun by allowing their enemies to oppress them. This was seen as a form of punishment for their disobedience and turning away from God. Eventually, they turned back to the Lord and sought his help, and he delivered them from their oppressors.
