Not to sound flippant, but if you have to ask, and cannot tell by looking, it is hard. It is very relative. If you have not done a trans drop yourself, get qualified help to walk you through. If you have done a drop on a different car, it could be easy depending on the other car.
with mine the transmission was going out and it could be something as little as a bolt or as big as the transmission itself (my ford has 227000)

No to both questions. You still need to change the fluid, even though there is no dipstick. To Reply to the above answer, YES there is a transmission dipstick. It is right next to the coilpack. Look behind the engine, to the left, it is right next to where all your Ignition wires plug into. It is yellow I believe, and a little hard to see because it is down a couple inches from eye engine level. The left side of the transmission to the rear just above the transmission mount, it is in a very tight spot to get to and takes some effort to remove. it is very hard to get back in to replace the retaining clip.
