The temperature of the fire depends on the condition and density of the wood.

The wood burns at around 600 - 710 oC (900 - 1200 oF)

If you pump air into the fire like with a bellows. You can get it as high as 2500 degrees Fahrenheit. Enough that you can weld steel!

A fire doesn't start from being hot. Chemicals mix together, for example gasoline and a match will light a huge fire
